Harvest Moon is a painting based on illumination in a mosaic fashion. It is accomplished with a medium sized flat brush to paint a square type of shape at different angles.

Angel with Bird
This soft Angel is pre-traced to speed up the process and distressed with a charcoal outline and a gesso wash over it.
A water color approach with acrylics is used to wash on the moon and resonating rings. After it is dried, permanent markers are used to outline the tree and then fill with oscillating doodle patterns.
The rings are first created by a blending of multi-colored acrylic paints. The branches are painted on, step-by-step, finalizing with the cherry blossoms.
This Halloween image begins with a wash and of grey and orange and then lifted with paper towel to create the distressed background. It is certain to put you in the mood for Halloween!

After a trip to Italy, I was drawn to creating and sharing the beautiful landscapes. The colorful bottom front is reflected in the blooming clouds of the skies. The canvas is prepped with textured squiggly lines that add to the fluidity of the painting.

The canvas is prepped with a black gesso and the outlines are drawn on with a white chalk. this painting is made in a reverse style where you paint near the line of chalk but never over it. Once the painting is completed the chalk is removed with a wet paper towel leaving the black outlines to create the shapes.
The Birch Trees are first painted on and then the background is filled in with "ghost" birches by removing vertical portions of the background paint. Circular dots are painted over the trees and background bringing the painting to life!
